Judicial Appointments Bill 2014

This is a Bill to reform the process of appointing judges by making the process more independent of the political process. Read it here.

Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill 2013

This is a Bill to improve consumer protection by enabling the Financial Services Ombudsman to investigate complaints in relation to the sale of financial products. Read it here.

Mortgage Resolution Bill 2013

This is a Bill to provide for the establishment of a Mortgage Resolution Office which would address the problems arising from the current insolvency regime, which does not adequately protect the family homes or people who are in mortgage arrears. Read it here.

Judicial Sentencing Commission Bill 2013

Credit Institutions (Stabilisation) (Amendment) Bill 2012

This is a Bill to restrict and regulate bonus payments made by credit institutions covered by the Credit Institutions (Financial Support) Act 2008. Read it here.

Assaults on Emergency Workers Bill 2012

This is a Bill to protect Gardaí, fire workers and other emergency workers by providing for a five-year mandatory jail sentence for anyone found guilty of assaulting such workers. Read it here.

Freedom of Information (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill 2012
